The Changelings

Once upon a time, there was a King and a Queen, who had no children. They so terribly wished for a little child, but there was nothing. Finally, one summer, the Queen had a girl, and now they were indescribably happy. The princess was given the name Bianca Maria in baptism, and she was an exceptionally beautiful little child. Her complexion was as translucent as a flower petal, her eyes so big and blue, and her little mouth was bent in the most beautiful arch.
